Mothers Circle: A Monthly Gathering

Guided by Kortney Campbell of Satya Mama

"Our sacred duty as parents is to feel whole so that our children have an example of their own self-worth. How we care for ourselves is really a way to care for our children and our families."

The Mother's Circle is an opportunity to come together, connect, be uplifted, nurtured and restored. Through breath, conscious movement and radical self-love we will connect to ourselves so that we may connect more deeply with our families. We will look at ways to nourish ourselves, and connect to our inner wisdom.

Our intention with each monthly gathering will be to support you in...

  • connecting with other mothers
  • cultivating peace of mind
  •  mothering from a full cup
  • strengthening your intuition and confidence in your parenting  
  • Take an honest look at motherhood and what it looks like for YOU and finding ways to create a daily practice that works for YOU. 

Enjoy time and space in a nurturing, nonjudgmental environment. Our intention with this circle is to support woman in thriving in motherhood rather than just managing the challenges.

Scientifically speaking, we are energy…everything in the entire universe. When physical or mental ailments present themselves to us, it is typically an announcement that our mind and energetic body need tending to. We often don't realize just how intertwined the mind, breath, spirit, physical and energetic bodies are. An imbalance in one area of our lives affects our whole BEing.

In these woman-centered gatherings, we will use the breath, focus, sound and guided meditation to ease the mind, deep dive into ourSELF, bring the unconscious into consciousness, and clear out what no longer serves us from the energetic body, allowing us to move into a more harmonious state.

A FEW THINGS TO NOTE:

  • Feel free to bring paper or your favorite journal. Pens are provided.
  • We suggest wearing something you feel comfortable to sit in whether jeans or workout clothes. Since we ask you to remove your shoes at the door, bring your favorite cozy socks or feel free to go barefoot.

Yogi Bhajan is the main teacher who brought gong meditation to the U.S. Kundalini yoga really focuses on purification of the subconscious. The Gong affects the physical nervous system, not just hearing it through the ears, but the sensation of feeling it on the skin. Sound travels and the body picks up sound. Sometimes it’s called a gong bath. It’s a cleansing process for the subconscious mind.

The gong activates the parasympathetic nervous system -- the resting, digesting nervous system. In our modern lives we are typically in fight or flight mode (sympathetic nervous system). The Gong meditation supports the nervous system to easily get back into the space of ease and peace.

We all have access to the wisdom and guidance of the helping spirits. 

Many of us have been so disconnected from this birthright, through the stress and chaos of modern times. 

Oftentimes we just need a little support to dismantle what keeps us from exploring this missing piece, and seeking out our own unique connections. 

The Shamanic Journey is an ancient method of exploration that can be used by everyday people for personal growth and healing. Learning to communicate with your inner and spirit self and retrieving helpful information is a valuable skill. 

Join Tracy as she guides you through this life changing process. 

SOME OF OUR TOPICS INCLUDE:

  • basic understanding of Shamanic Journeying 
  • exploring the shamanic state of consciousness 
  • the different spiritual worlds/realms
  • calling on helping guides/spirit guides/animal allies 
  • difference between Shaman led journey and self led journey (and discerning when each is necessary)
  • setting up and undertaking one's very own journey (includes understanding and unraveling the most common blocks )

In this 4 week series, Ashley Smith of Into The Heart will introduce you to a well rounded and deeply transformative sampling of some of the classic Kundalini practices. Each week will focus on a new area of the body, aura, or magnetic field.

An uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices, that may be a little different than what you may have experienced at your gym or local yoga studio. 

Kundalini Yoga tonifies and strengthens the nervous system and activates the master glands in the brain.  A major focus is placed on the breath, sacred sound currents, and dynamic movements that activate and strengthen the organs and the systems of the body.

Additional benefits of this practice may include building physical vitality and flexibility as well as flexibility of the mind and emotional states. Kundalini yoga techniques balance hormones, ease anxiety and boosts creativity.

We will move through our *Kali Natha Yoga practice with a deeper awareness and then integrate all of this in an extended savasana accompanied by the Himalayan Singing Bowls.

Kundalini Yoga Intro Series: Week 2

In this 4 week series, Ashley Smith of Into The Heart will introduce you to a well rounded and deeply transformative sampling of some of the classic Kundalini practices. Each week will focus on a new area of the body, aura, or magnetic field.

An uplifting blend of spiritual and physical practices, that may be a little different than what you may have experienced at your gym or local yoga studio. 

Kundalini Yoga tonifies and strengthens the nervous system and activates the master glands in the brain.  A major focus is placed on the breath, sacred sound currents, and dynamic movements that activate and strengthen the organs and the systems of the body.

Additional benefits of this practice may include building physical vitality and flexibility as well as flexibility of the mind and emotional states. Kundalini yoga techniques balance hormones, ease anxiety and boosts creativity.

Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or brand new to the practice, I sincerely encourage you to have an experience of Kundalini Yoga for yourself. It will add depth to your existing practice and to your life.

WHAT TO EXPECT

WEEK 2 (June 12th): CONNECTING TO YOUR NAVEL POWER

This week is all about coming into our place of power- at the center of our being- our navel point! In the Yoga tradition, the navel center is linked to the third chakra and the element of fire, which absorbs and purifies all obstacles. and serves as fuel for the fire of transformation.

We will be working with a powerful and energizing breath and a meditation to open us up to more abundance, and prosperity! 

WEEK 3 (June 19th): AWAKENING THE HEART

Our practice will include cooling and calming breathwork, before opening our hearts and exploring our magnetic field through dynamic movement, mantra, and meditation.

WEEK 4 (June 26th): EXPERIENCE YOUR HIGEST SELF

This week we expand into and experience our Highest Self through a meditative and balancing blending of breath, movement, and mantra practices.

The Red Tent Women's Circle: Living in Sync with Your Cycle

In the past, women were revered and living in sync with our cycles was crucial to the community as a whole. We retreated to The Red Tent, together, during the New Moon and supported each other fully, as our bodies waxed and waned. 

However, in our modern society, women are often expected to work, act and live like men. This constant pressure to live on a 24-hour cycle is not aligned with the nature of our bodies and hormonal health.

When we live in sync with the cyclical nature of our human bodies, we are able to remove the pain and stress from our cycle, harness our creative power, connect with our True Self, embrace our emotions and live our best lives!

In this women’s circle, you can expect:

  • Soul journey meditations
  • Connecting with your body’s cyclical nature
  • A new and deeper appreciation for your body 
  • Learning to embrace the power of your menstrual cycle
  • Guidance on living in sync with your cycle (from food & sex to work & fun)

Let's come together to experience the powerful ritual of DANCE under the light of the crescent moon. 

In many traditional cultures, if you came to a healer or medicine person complaining of being anxious or depressed they would ask one of four questions:

When did you stop dancing?

When did you stop singing?

When did you stop being enchanted by stories?

When did you stop finding comfort in the sweet territory of silence?

Join Alina Hall, yoga instructor, Reiki healer and lifelong dancer for a night to reclaim the beauty and power of DANCE AS RITUAL. You do not have to be trained or "good" dancers to tap into this powerful medicine.

You will be gently guided through a diverse soundtrack with led tribal dance movements influenced by the traditions of Hula, African Dance and Bellydance. Eventually, we let the brain and thoughts rest as the heart and body take over and lead us into the Flow State!

Through this space that Tea creates we are able to listen, to truly hear our Highest Selves. The leaves used in our ceremonies are extremely unique in that they are all organic and come from, wild, old growth trees and plants that are sustainably grown and harvested by farmers who love, respect, and understand the power of this medicine. Living Tea, as it is known in my tradition, has the power to cleanse, purify, ground and heal the Spirit, and when treated as ancient medicine, will guide us to subtle areas within that will be gently healed and processed.
