The Winter Solstice is celebrated by many people around the world where it is recognized as the shortest day and the longest night. It is a time when we turn inward. In the quiet we have an opportunity to contemplate and be more aware of our visions and dreams.  It also brings the promise of new beginnings. It is a time for finding the light within to fire our intentions for the coming seasons. 

Join us as we gather together in community, connect to one another and the deeper rhythm of the Winter Cycle; honoring + nurturing stillness, patience, and the rest needed so that we may gather strength in our bodies and intentionally and consciously move into the new year and the season of Renewal.

Let's reconnect, turn our attention inward and honor the ancient wisdom of nourishing our mind, body and spirit through conscious movement, breath, meditation, and intention.

WINTER SOLSTICE + KUNDALINI YOGA w/Ashley Smith

Yogi Bhajan often taught special meditations for the Solstices. He said that these were special days for the human psyche to re-set itself for the seasonal changes.

Together working with the technology of Kundalini yoga and meditation we will harness the energies of this potent time and close out the year uplifted, strong, and elevated.

PRANIC HEALING CIRCLE + GUIDED RELAXATION

Facilitated by Rachael Nayder; Birth and Postpartum Doula, certified panic healer, yoga teacher, essential oil educator, and registered nurse.

Pranic Healing is a simple, powerful & effective system of non-touch energy healing. Physical contact is not required because the practitioner is working on the energy body and not directly on the physical body. The energy body surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body.

This meditation + group healing will take place as you relax in Shavasana. A relaxing guided meditation will play as Rachael provides a group healing session that will balance body, and mind while clearing stagnant energy.

SOLSTICE BREATHWORK JOURNEY w/Christina Echevarria

Together with intention, and the power of the breath we will honor the dark and allow the potent energy of the death/rebirth cycle to clarify and catalyze your next stage of transformation.

Christina will guide you through a two-part Pranayama Breathwork Meditation taught by her teacher, David Elliott.

This simple practice that’s been used for thousands of years. There are many variations to Pranayama yoga breathing, but the essential technique you will experience is…

  • Lay down on your back, close your eyes and breath deeply through your mouth for a while. (There’s two stages in the inhale — once into the stomach and once more into the chest before you exhale through the mouth.)

  • The way it works, it gets the energy moving through your body and helps your mind settle down. It stimulates the energy meridians in your body, and helps you release stagnant energy in different parts of your energy field. Most people feel the effects of the breathing viscerally in their body and energy within minutes.

One benefit of an ‘active meditation’ practice is it really helps you let go of the mental activity since you have something to focus on.

THROUGH THE PORTALS OF THE WINTER SOLSTICE AND DECEMBER’S FULL MOON, WE’LL HONOR THE PASSAGE OF THE DARKEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR AND THE BRIGHTEST MOON OF THE MONTH. BY TAPPING INTO THE ENERGIES OF THE SEASON, WE’LL CULTIVATE AND NURTURE THIS BALANCE OF LIGHT AND DARK WITHIN.

We’ll begin by sharing a little bit about the celestial energies and this potent time of the Winter Solstice and the Full moon. Then with the guidance of sound, we’ll discover the potent healing of stillness and listening. Allow the soothing sound vibrations to bring your being into a deep state of restorative awareness igniting your physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

Together we will melt into a vibration of higher consciousness, and emerge feeling well-rested and fully supported.
